How to Add Your Office 365 Email to a Mobile Device (iOS & Android)

Stay connected and access your Office 365 email on the go by adding it to your mobile device. Whether you prefer using the iOS Mail app or the Outlook app, this guide will walk you through the setup process.


Option 1: Add Office 365 Email to Your iPhone or iPad (iOS Mail)

If you prefer using the built-in Mail app on your iPhone or iPad, follow these steps:

1. Open the Settings App

  • Go to your iPhone or iPad's Settings.

  • Scroll down and tap Mail.

  • Under Accounts, tap Add Account.

2. Choose Microsoft Exchange

  • From the list of account types, choose Microsoft Exchange.

3. Enter Your Email Details

  • Email: Enter your full Office 365 email address (e.g., yourname@yourcompany.com).

  • Password: Enter your Office 365 password.

  • Description: This will automatically be filled as Exchange, but you can change it to something more recognizable (e.g., Work Email).

4. Sign In with Your Office 365 Account

  • After entering your email and password, you'll be prompted to sign in via your Office 365 login page.

  • Enter your full email address again and your password.

  • If Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is enabled, you'll be asked to approve the sign-in request via your chosen method (e.g., Authenticator app or another MFA option).

5. Sync Options

  • You’ll be asked which information you want to sync (Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders).

  • Choose the items you want to sync and tap Save.

Your Office 365 email is now set up in the iOS Mail app!


Option 2: Add Office 365 Email Using the Microsoft Outlook App

If you prefer using the Microsoft Outlook app, which is a great option for managing both email and calendar, follow these steps:

1. Download the Microsoft Outlook App

Install the Microsoft Outlook app from your device’s app store:

  • Open the Outlook app and tap Get Started.

  • Enter your Office 365 email address and tap Add Account.

  • Sign in with your password and approve any required security prompts (e.g., Multi-Factor Authentication).

Your Office 365 email is now set up in the Outlook app.
