Email Configuration (Outlook, Mobile, Web)

Setting up your Microsoft 365 email is simple with Fusion IT. Whether you’re using a desktop application, mobile device, or web browser, follow the steps below to get connected.


Outlook on Windows or Mac

  1. Open Outlook.

  2. If this is your first time opening Outlook, you’ll be prompted to Add an Account. Otherwise, go to File > Add Account.

  3. Enter your email address (e.g. your.name@yourcompany.co.uk) and click Connect.

  4. Enter your Microsoft 365 password when prompted.

  5. Follow the steps for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) if required.

  6. Once complete, Outlook will begin syncing your emails and calendar.


Mobile Devices (iPhone & Android)

We recommend using the Microsoft Outlook app for the best experience.

  1. Download the Outlook app from the App Store or Google Play.

  2. Open the app and tap Add Account.

  3. Enter your Microsoft 365 email address and tap Continue.

  4. Enter your password and complete any MFA prompts.

  5. Your mailbox will begin syncing shortly.

Alternatively, if using the default Mail app, you can usually add your Microsoft 365 account via:

  • iPhone: Settings > Mail > Accounts > Add Account > Microsoft Exchange

  • Android: Settings > Accounts > Add Account > Exchange or Microsoft 365

Use your full email address and Microsoft 365 password when prompted. MFA may be required.


Accessing Email via Web Browser (Outlook Web App)

You can always access your email on the go using any web browser:

  1. Go to https://outlook.office.com

  2. Enter your Microsoft 365 email address and password.

  3. Complete the MFA prompt if required.

  4. You’ll be taken straight into your inbox.

This is ideal when working remotely or on a device where Outlook is not installed.


Troubleshooting Tips

  • Ensure you’re connected to the internet.

  • If MFA is enabled and you're not receiving prompts, check your Authenticator app or install it from your app store.

  • Make sure your Microsoft 365 license is active. Contact support if you're unsure.
