If your second screen isn’t displaying anything, it’s often a connection or settings issue. Here are some quick fixes you can try before raising a support ticket.
1. Check the Cable Connections
Confirm both ends of the HDMI, DisplayPort, or VGA cable are plugged in
Try reseating or swapping the cable
Make sure the monitor is powered on
2. Use Windows Display Settings
Right-click the desktop > Display settings
Click Detect to search for connected displays
Scroll down to Multiple displays and choose Extend or Duplicate as needed
3. Try the Monitor on Another PC
If it works elsewhere, the monitor is fine and the issue is likely with the original PC or cable
4. Test a Different Port
Many PCs have multiple output ports (e.g. HDMI and DisplayPort)
Switch to a different port and restart your machine
If using a docking station, try bypassing it and connecting directly
5. Restart with Only the Second Monitor Connected
Shut down the PC
Unplug the primary screen (if possible)
Boot with just the second monitor connected to force detection
Still no display? We can investigate your hardware or driver configuration.
